I worked in tech for 12 years making a lot of money, working for famous brands and traveling to Milan or Paris.
It looked like I had everything to be happy but my heart was not there.
I was also repetitively burning out as my energy and soul were not aligned to that environment.
Everyone has their journey, and there is not one line.
It is possible to be content while working in a corporate environment and to feel unhappy while working in a holistic setting.
It was what you make out of it.
And yes, you can make a living working in holistic.
I am deeply grateful for my time in tech as it taught me so many skills for my business today.
Several of you asked me how I managed to make my company thrive.
Here are a few insights, I teach other business owners. If you don’t have a business, these can be applied to any work project:
It is not a race but a marathon - turning up daily and being consistent is key. Let your business the time to grow organically.
Turn off the noise - some people may be commenting on your strategy and sometimes make you doubt. Your heart is leading you to this path, stay focused. It is your compass and your life to live.
Remember the power of network and community - surround yourself with ambitious, kind and supportive people. The opportunities will pop up without even you asking for it.
Connect with your audience’s heart - having testimonials, sharing videos, and being vulnerable so that people feel your energy will help your tribe find you and know you are the right one for them.
There is nothing like perfection - things can be a bit messy when you learn something new. Remember you are here for the fun, the bigger picture and there is a teaching in each experience.
Take care of yourself - self-care, regular breaks, Reiki, and time with your friends and family are even more important as a business owner. You need your cup full to be able to hold space for other people.
Last but not least,
the only failure is to never start working on your dreams.
